My Students

As you can imagine, Distance Learning is a struggle with our students for multiple reasons: availability of a device at home, multiple children in the home, no Internet connection, Mom's cell phone.

I would like to provide one student (as an incentive, students will receive chances for participating in Summer School virtually) with a personal iPad for attending Summer School session.

This will be helpful for future Distance Learning as may be the situation in the Fall 2020-2021. An iPad at home allows a child to log into instructional apps that track student growth and progress. Our lessons are data driven and the ability of a student to use these apps at home can enhance a student's education.

My Project

We would like to provide chances to students that participate in Summer School an opportunity to win an iPad. I would load all of our (free) apps that are educational games and provide Microsoft Teams. Teams is the platform we use to connect with students at home during Distance Learning.

A student will now have their own special device to connect with the teacher, as well as the opportunity to explore the world.

Technology availability is a great key for learning! The old saying 'Knowledge is power'! Help one student at a time.
