My Students

My students will do anything to learn and experience new ways to accomplish a goal. My students have different disabilities and would love the opportunity to access technology.

I want my students to have multiple opportunities to increase their engagement in the curriculum and enhance their learning.

I want them to be able to personalize their learning experiences to fit their individual needs when leaving the high school environment. Living in low socioeconomic areas limits our students' opportunities to see the latest technological devices that could be future careers. The world of work is changing and we need to educate and show our students that by thinking outside the box we can establish a way of living.

My Project

The use of researching is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in daily facts. Utilizing different ways of finding information, my students come prepared with knowledge that can assist them when making smart decisions in/out of the classroom.

The echo dots will allow my students another way to see exactly how to gather information when researching strategies to fulfill daily obligations they are doing, as well as provide an easy way to find information while speaking.

What never becomes a problem is the fact that the students never seem to stray from learning about new technology and how to utilize it to assist when researching information. Even though they are great about learning new strategies it is important for many of my students who have auditory issues to attempt learn that you don't always have to look at a computer screen to receive an answer. By having echo dot, students will be able to learn a new technique and focus on increasing their learning.
