Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have an amazing class of 17 students. Of these 17 students, 10 of them have ASD (autism spectrum disorder). They are all so very different and require different sensory materials. They are very creative and because of lack of funding have decided to create a lot of self made sensory materials such as plushies, fidgets, and different clothed material.
Some of the resources I have requested include: foot rollers, colorful pens, sensory disks and balls, and weighted pencils.
These resources will make a great difference in my classroom because they would support students' concentration on tasks.
My students enjoy learning, they just sometimes require support materials to make their learning process smoother.
