Help me give my students the materials they need to create a hands-on learning experience. Using these materials, the students will be able to have created work that is uniquely tailored to them.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazingly full of energy and with a passion to learn. They love to do hands-on and engaging activities.
Students in this community come from low-income families, many families in this community go without the basic necessities.
I love that even with the needs they face they are strong and full of capabilities, full of life, and full of ideas. I would like for my students to get all the materials they need in our classroom to provide a hands-on and engaging learning environment.
My Project
The students will use these materials to bring their ideas to life. In Pre-k we learn by using all the materials around us to explore. The students will be able to use these materials to master fine motor skills by using the pencils to learn to write their names, letters, numbers and sight words. Students will use these materials to learn in person and at home. Supplies will be given to students to complete project based learning at home. They will have a specific project each week that they must complete at home. The first week we will have a project called "All about me" where the students will create a collage about their favorite things.
