Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a group of energetic and eager first grade students! A typical day in our classroom consists mostly of differentiated work. This accesses each student's entry point and allows them to soar into learning. I want my students to create beautiful pieces and to be proud of their work!

I have 24 amazing and unique individuals in my classroom this year.

I am lucky enough to call them my students. We are a Title 1, low income school. Students come from diverse backgrounds where English is not often the main language spoken at home. We need all of the help we can get to watch our students grow, succeed, and exceed all expectations we place upon them. I hope to use these art supplies in conjunction with our current writing program. We have publishing parties or celebrations of student writing at the end of each unit. Parents come to hear their children read and see their children display their hard work. I want my students to use these materials to create beautiful published pieces that they are proud to display to classmates, teachers and family members.

My Project

My students will be able to hone in on their creativity with these wonderful art supplies! I want my students to be proud of their published work. These art supplies will help my little authors become real illustrators as well! My students will be able to create beautiful pictures to match their amazing writing. Students will also be able to perfect their fine motor skills by using these art supplies to create illustrations. I want to make sure that each and every child in my classroom is able to use these supplies and in turn, be proud of the writing piece that they have created!

These donations will definitely improve learning in my classroom.

Students will have new and exciting materials to use. The will be able to create beautiful published writing pieces. The best part about these art supplies is that they will make my students proud of their amazing work!
