Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of the children in my classroom truly love to learn. My students are creative, have innovative minds, and truly possess all the qualities of amazing artists. My students have demonstrated a great joy when learning about renowned artist and creating their own artwork. However, due to the limitations within our classroom, we do not have access to many basic art mediums. This has prevented my students from truly being able to express the fullness of their artistic abilities.

The materials that have been chosen will be extremely useful in providing my students the opportunity to be creative learners.

Our school is a Title 1 school and doesn't always offer the materials to fully teach or expose students to variety of mediums. Our class does not have many art supplies, which is why this project is vital in the educational experience I am trying to offer my students. Having the markers, paper, oil pastels, pencils, scissors, paint trays, colored paper, and crayons accessible will help them create, build, and engage with art in a more meaningful way.

Having these materials such as the wiggle eyes, creativity sheets, and construction paper available in our classroom will help my students flourish and thrive. I want to make my classroom a learning environment that all my students can enjoy. Thank you in advance for generous support.
