My Students

Imagine walking into an elementary classroom. It is buzzing with activity. Some students work on iPads, others are furiously going through the work that correlates to the day's math lesson. Some students speak to each other in English, while many others speak in Somali, Karen, Hmong or Spanish.

My students are the future of this country.

Their curiosity and diversity makes me hopeful that this world will change for the better because of them.

Our students work hard at school every day to learn English. They surprise me with the knowledge and experience they bring to the classroom. They are the joy of my life.

My Project

My students are brilliant mathematicians, and can really shine in this subject area. Despite the fact that many of them are learning English, they excel in math class because they can show what they know, even without words.

Help my students solidify their math facts with these hands-on math materials.

I can use them to differentiate our math centers and give students what they need to succeed.

They also love to create, and that's why we need watercolor paper! I've been purchasing it on my own all year, and I'm all out. I would love to do more watercolor projects with them this spring, and need the right paper to do so!
