Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year in particular has been quite challenging, yet 100% so rewarding. Students have experienced distance learning for over one year and a half. We are all so extremely excited to be back into the classroom and learning in full affect. The paints and canvases I am asking for is to teach art through our lessons. We study one artist every month and create one of their masterpieces based on what we have learned and studied. I would like you to imagine a classroom filled with learning and preparation for their future, but with brightly colored experiences and lessons to go along with their curriculum. I would like for my students to leave my classroom remembering paintings of Da Vinci and Picasso rather than only remembering paper and pencil lessons. So, teaching art through learning is what I am so passionate about and so are my students.
