Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the teacher of 8 outstanding students who have autism. Every day they love to make beautiful crafts and pictures. With the heat press, I would love the chance to use each student's artwork to create personalized sweaters that they can see their work showcased on something they can use every day and that will also keep them warm.

Self-esteem is essential!

Some of my students come to school with old clothes that might sometimes be too small and inappropriate for the weather, so not only will these sweaters keep them warm, but seeing their work transferred onto a a sweater will also give my students a sense of pride and accomplishment.
