My Project

COVID-19 has impacted the positive cultural, social, emotional, physical/health, and artistic learning of my students in a true Kaiapuni/Hawaiian Immersion education environment. The resources I am requesting will directly support my students in actively engaging and participating in cultural activities such as hula/dance and mele/song, poster art making, and nourishment to help keep their minds and bodies focused and strong/healthy to keep moving and creating. Now that COVID-19 restrictions are over and we are able to connect with each other learning in-person, we are able to bring immersion learning back to reality and communicate with each other in the Hawaiian language through doing and working together. This helps all of us progress positively social-emotionally and academically.
