My Students

Do you remember how much fun it was when you did class art projects with your teacher? My students hardly ever get that feeling anymore because of the lack of art supplies in our school.

My students use a variety of art materials to create and explore.

The children in my class love to learn. Art time is a time in the early childhood classroom where the children get to explore, create, and use their imaginations. What better way to respond to literature than to engage in meaning art activities? Our school is a Title One School, in New York City, where supplies are hard to obtain, especially art supplies. Many of the children in my classroom cannot even afford to purchase the basic school supplies. With the horrible budget cuts this school year, supplies were nearly impossible to order. Art supplies are always considered not important. Please help my children explore and become little artists.

My Project

These resources will help my children create beautiful masterpieces in art. They will be able to create collages and paintings while responding to literature. My children are in desperate need of paint, art paper, glue, paint brushes, and a variety of collage materials. They will be able to have fun while learning. My children will learn the basic elements of art.

Please support the arts in the New York City school system.

Your donations will provide students with a love for art and school. Your donations will provide students with fantastic experiences in art. I am a strong believer that visual arts help children learn in all areas.
