My Project

I teach art in a charter school to Kindergarteners all the way through the 12th grade. In art class we go through a lot of paper, which we need to store. We currently have all the paper in tall stacks which makes it difficult to get to. We have the worksheets, the sketchbooks, binders, art journals, construction paper, scrapbook paper, scrap paper, all the papers. Once the students in my room make their art, we are at a loss as to where to put it. We have one small counter by the sink, and that's about it. So we sometimes have to section off areas of the floor to lay the art while it dries, which is not ideal as the room itself doubles as a shortcut through the school and is a high traffic area.

With these paper storage racks my students would finally have somewhere to keep their books and papers, and dry their artwork.

Our art room would be so much more organized and accessible to the students. The way it is now I can't have the students rummaging through looking for the right pages, it creates too much of a hassle, which leaves me to do much of the things students should be able to do on their own. All of this wastes class time, and is difficult to keep organized. These paper storage racks would benefit my students in so many ways.
