Help Mrs. Litto

I have a student who has lived a tough life and has never had a chance to thrive. Her mother is in jail and the she is in a foster home with 13 other kids. She is pregnant with her second child. I have discovered that she has learning disabilities, BUT she is a very talented painter. She painted for the first time ever in my classroom and blew my mind away with what she could do with her own raw talent. Other people saw her work and couldn't believe it! I would like to provide this girl with everything she needs to build her self esteem and sense of self worth through her art work. I truly believe art is the way to save this child. When she writes, her answers make absolutely no sense. She probably has some undiagnosed disability that will not be helped at this late stage. Many famous artists had some type of disability. I feel she may be a famous artist in the making if we can get her the supplies she needs. Paper, paint, brushes, and canvas would give this child a chance in life. She is a hard worker and spends extra time in the art room on her painting. With your help she can make a success of herself!
