My Students

I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with a great group of students who happen to have profound physical and cognitive disabilities. My students are always focusing on their abilities rather than their disabilities.

The majority of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Most of the materials my students have are from me purchasing myself. My students really brighten my day! They are so appreciative and really would benefit from your assistance. Thank you so much for reading about our project.

My Project

Art therapy can help to manage behaviors, process feelings, reduce stress and anxiety, and increase self-esteem. Also, art is enjoyable to the students and it helps with their social and communication skills whether they are working in pairs or within a group setting. My class will also be mentors to another class within the school and the craft kits will be used as projects for the two classes to work on together. Art also helps with physical development and the enhancement of fine and gross motor skills which are important for my students. My students and I thank you for your support!
