Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach Elementary Art at a Title I school in a low income area, so my scholars come from all walks of life. This is my fourth year teaching, and while the actual job is extremely exhausting, those kids are so special to me. I teach because of those kids and the relationships I have built with them. My scholars are so excited to learn everyday, and I want them to have the best learning experience as possible!

My Project

My students need basic supplies in order for art class to run smoothly this year. They each need a manila folder for a portfolio, they need pencil sharpeners, and pencils. My wishlist is pretty basic, but these are things that will benefit my students throughout the entire school year.

With your help, my scholars will get to have the best art experience as possible with basic supplies that are unfortunately not provided for me by my school.
