Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Resource Classroom is a place for students to come in and request support in any area they are struggling both academically and personally.

Students who enter the classroom space are a part of the Special Education program, they are in need of additional supports that enable them to learn and be successful in school.

Their resilience is showcased everyday as they continue to show up to learn and create on our campus. Our students are not afraid to ask for support and are on the path of becoming advocates for themselves and others.

This project will support our students' learning through every day art and classroom supplies we go through every school year. Expo markers, glue sticks, art supplies and cleaning supplies, that are used very often in our space. Having access to supplies makes learning easier not only in the resource room, but in every class students attend throughout the day. This school year our classroom also supports an art block course for our special day class. With access to more art supplies, we are able to explore artistic interests our students would like to explore.
