Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All of the world's greatest artists were once little kids. Imagine if during their youth they didn't have the opportunity or materials to explore their gift and be creative? They may have never created the beautiful and meaningful art we appreciate today!

I work with 18 wonderful and creative Pre-K children in Brooklyn, New York.

They have just begun school and have already let me know that they love art! They are very eager to explore our art center and engage in many art activities but what they are missing are the materials and supplies to do this.

My Project

You can help the budding artists in my class by donating much needed art supplies such as collage materials, paint, markers, crayons, pencils, tissue paper, and a child camera so they can explore photography. It is my goal to introduce many genres of art to my students so they can find the type of art they love and be able to create art daily. At a time in life when the world all around is so new and wondrous, I really want to help them capture their imaginations and express it through art but we need materials and supplies to do this.

Please help the students of my class get the art supplies they need to explore collage, painting, drawing, and photography.

Art education helps children with their creative thinking and academic skills. We need art materials and supplies to engage the children in various art activities everyday. My goal is for the children to love art and learn through it. We would greatly appreciate any help you can give!
