My Students

Do you remember how much you loved doing art projects when you were little? My school doesn’t have an art teacher so my students have had limited experiences with art. I want to give my students opportunities to express themselves and develop their creativity through art, but I need some supplies.

I have 21 students in my second grade classroom.

They are eager to learn and love coming to school each day. My school has approximately 250 students from Pre-K to fifth grade. It is a Title 1 school and approximately 95% of the students receive free lunch.

My Project

My students love being creative and expressing themselves through art. They use our art supplies across the curriculum to help build their literacy, math, science, and social studies skills. However, we are running very low on supplies and will be unable to complete many more art projects unless our supplies are restocked. I am requesting watercolor paper, manila drawing paper, paintbrushes, dot painters, laminating sheets (to protect student artwork), and classpacks of crayons, markers, and colored pencils for my students to use for art projects. These supplies will allow me to regularly incorporate artwork into lessons and encourage my students' creativity.

Your donation will provide my students with access to the most basic of art materials.

These supplies will promote creativity and will help my students to develop an appreciation and love of art.
