Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is full of 6 and 7-year-olds who love to share their thoughts and ideas, but also who love to draw and create masterpieces! It is evident to me that my students need more art supplies so they can use their creative skills in order to make colorful art pieces.

I work with happy and imaginative students who love learning and love being creative.

Allowing them to create and express themselves artistically, allows our students to stretch their minds and challenge their thinking in new ways. Art gives my students a brain break from academic assignments and allows for creative fun play.

My students are linking their artwork with their hobbies and things they love! We also do art projects that go along with our curriculum and seasons. It has been wonderful to see the artwork they draw and create, but I would love to foster this experience by having a selection of colored tissue paper, laminating sheets for protecting art, markers , and other alternative art supplies for my students. We plan to use these items to make hanging and floating art to decorate our classroom. The students love decorating "their" classrooms with their likes and interests.
