My Students

My students are full of potential, eager to learn, and they are curious to know about everything around them. My school is located in a very diverse neighborhood, which leads to many languages and cultures present in my classroom. Also, some of my children are under their grandparents' custody. Others are children from single parents.

I am so thankful to have a chance to have them in my class, and I hope I can inspire them and help them to develop their confidence skills.

I hope I can turn their negative self-concept into one that is positive.

My Project

The construction papers and the glue sticks will be used every day at our art center. With your donation, children will have opportunities to create projects that reflect on how they see the world that they live in.

By having these construction papers and glue sticks, my children will continue drawing and constructing models based on their observations.

They will continue to Identify similarities and differences among samples of visual art. For example: during working on the transportation unit, the children had opportunities to create two different modes of transportation then compare and contrast between them. Furthermore, my children will develop their scissor skills and improve their fine motor skills. Yet, my children will improve their social skills when they have opportunities to share their opinions about visual arts with each other.
