This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
AP 3-D Design students are a very interesting bunch. They like to build. They don't fit into the "typical" artist mold. They are inventors and love to experiment. Students are working on a portfolio to submit for college credit, and exploring materials is a part of the score for the portfolio. These unique materials include: Clear Polyester Casting Resin, Sculpey, Crayola Air-Dry Clay, Surebonder Clear Stik Hot Glue Sticks, and Dotting Tools.
However, this is the time of the year where we've used up all of our essential supplies and still have several months to go!
A donation to Ms. Bennett's AP 3-D Design students would mean these creative kids can achieve their goal of creating a college-level portfolio with high-quality materials. Students that score well enough on their portfolio also receive a credit for an introductory art course at the college level, which will save them tons of money and help them go straight into the field of art of their choosing.
