My Project

My amazing autistic students love art class and I am the lucky art teacher who brings art class to their classrooms. When I walk into their classrooms they are excited and run to me to greet me and find out what supplies we will be using.

This project includes a wide variety of items to help engage my students and develop art skills!

Some days we are messy! My students love to use paint. We desperately need smocks that fit them and wipes so that we can make clean-up just a little bit easier!

Other days we use no mess activities. Adding doodle boards, a color Magna Doodle (remember those?), a water mat, Color Wonder paper and markers would thrill my students by providing a way to express themselves without getting messy. For some students with sensory issues, having a choice of materials makes all the difference in their engagement during art.
