Hello Donors,
After 19 years of teaching in the 3rd through 4th grade, I am taking on a new adventure of becoming the district elementary art teacher serving TK through 5th grade at three different sites.
I want to create classroom environments that are welcoming, safe, and inspiring.
This summer I have been getting ready for this new adventure by lesson planning and prepping for my three different classrooms. These rooms are in need of some love. Some of the items on this grant will beautify the space with art posters, anchor charts, and decor. Also, on this grant are some supplies that I will need for some lessons that I have in the works.
I hope to make these art rooms a place that students can't wait to come back to each week. A place where they will grow self expression, self esteem, creativity, mindfulness, motor skills, and growth mindset all while having fun.
