Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am looking to boost up some of the art supplies in my room. The children love to use stencils, and they are great for boosting fine motor skills. They also go great with an upcoming Disney unit they are doing in music, so we can make cross curriculum connections. The sharpener is essential when using colored pencils with large groups. I also want to create a "Zen Wall" made of Buddha Boards as a mindfulness boosting and calming activity which is great for SEL. The decals and paper towels are accessories for this area.

I work in a Title 1 schools, so my funding is extremely limited.

I often turn to the DonorsChoose community to help me fund items and extras that are not covered in my budget. Thanks to DonorsChoose, I have been able to give my students an exceptional art room and wonderful experiences in the arts.
