My Project

Help me bring art experiences to students in African History and AP African American Studies classes at my school. In these interdisciplinary art projects, students will explore the rich cultural heritage and historical narratives of African societies and the African American experience. By engaging in creative hands-on activities, students will deepen their understanding of history, identity, and artistic expression while developing critical thinking and appreciation for cultural diversity. We do not offer traditional art classes in our high school so this will allow students to express their creativity when they wouldn't have been able to otherwise. This also supports student mental health and a sense of belongining.
