Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have been working very hard in the classroom! We would like to incorporate some art into our rigorous day and show some appreciation and love for their mothers on Mother's Day! We are planning to paint a big, vibrant, and bold flower on beautiful canvases for their very special mothers.

Your generous donation will give my students canvases and acrylic paint markers for their paintings!

Before students paint, they will learn about and discuss primary colors and secondary colors. They will also learn about making various lines in their paintings that will make their drawings more unique and special. In addition to the artwork, students will write a letter of love and appreciation to their mothers, incorporating the different parts of letter writing, including the date, greeting, body, closing, and signature.
