My students are amazing artists. I love the excitement they have when they come into the art room ready to be creative. I want to instill a love for the arts and have the students understand that art connects to everything, including reading and math. I see about 408 in 3 days at one school and then about 360 students in three days at the second school. Both of my schools are Title I schools where the majority of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
No matter what background my students come from, I want all 768 student I teach to learn to love art.

My Project
I am blessed to teach art to 16 amazing Pre-K students each week. I have started art centers with these students but I am running out of different materials for them to use during centers. I would like to get cardboard looms and yarn to have a weaving center. I would like to have colored wooden blocks to have students create 3-D art in a center. I would like 4 light boxes and Picasso Tiles so that my students can build different art projects with light in another center.
My Pre-K students learn the best by learning through play.
They are at an age where they need to explore and have opportunities to be creative. Thanks for any help you can send our way!
