Art Portfolio's Student's Treasure Chest!

My students need pocket folders to create Art Portfolios as a personal treasure chest to file all their art projects and creations. My students create a front design cover with the things they love.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

To teach is to make a difference in the lives of today's' students and tomorrow's artists, architectures and designers! My students are friendly, kind, caring, sweet and so in love with being creative. They create their own sketch books with regular copy paper and personalize the front page with their own logo and simply adore that is is "theirs" and at the end of the year they take it home and add during the summer.

I grew up in this community and embrace my students love for their roots and their diligence and enthusiasm they exhibit in their art projects!

They are always ready to volunteer to aid with handing out materials, organizing the materials and cleaning up. They are creative, dreamers, thinkers, inventors, builders and are a breath of fresh air as they share their process with their peers, help one another and adore "Gallery time" as they give Glows to their fellow students. Cannot wait for the new school with my budding architectures, engineers, designers and inventors!

My Project

My art students start the semester with creating their own art sketch books to visually house all their creative projects. Students then receive folders I'm requesting in which their sketch books are housed and a front cover that sets each student apart is hand created. My students love to take ownership over their art treasures ~ their sketch book and their art folder. It truly brings out the artist in them when their smiles as big as the most beautiful sunset appears!

Inside this art portfolio folder contains each artifact from the beginning of the semester to the end in which each student treasures forever.
