My Students

My students are curious and lively. My fourth-grade classroom is a place of discovery. I am constantly seeking ways to engage and challenge my group of gifted learners. My goal is to prepare my students to think critically and solve problems. Many of the students in our school receive free lunch due to their socioeconomic status. This lack of resources can limit the experiences students have. I hope to provide engaging materials to broaden their outlook on life and their future. Science is everywhere in the world around us, and I hope to provide opportunities to incorporate STEM into our classroom in order to prepare my students for their future careers.

My Project

These art and organizing supplies will continue to enrich my hands-on and organized classroom that I have created. I surveyed the students to see what art organizing materials we needed in order to use art more effectively in our daily lessons. They let me know that we needed Cube Storage Bins to save art projects and a Bissell Carpet Sweeper to clean up afterwards. The students in my classroom treat their supplies carefully and these organizing materials will tap in to their responsibility and creativity.

Instead of making art a special activity, these supplies will enable me to incorporate art choices into daily lessons.

We needed updated art supplies of markers, glycerin soap, and tissue paper. The students are more engaged in their work and retain information when we have art choices and an organized system to have access to art supplies.
