Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

At our elementary school we have a wonderful variety of learning styles, ethnicities, and personalities. The one thing they all have in common is that they love learning and exploring.

The classroom environment is very important.

A variety of materials is needed for the children to be able to carry out their visions. The creative center is always a buzz with activity and providing materials and support is the way to inspire our future artists, architects, and engineers. Art materials are very expensive please help me in this worthwhile project.

My Project

Children will use a variety of art materials to create puppets, paint and draw increasing fine motor and representational skills. It is important to give children materials, choice and support. Support is easy but having enough interesting materials can get very expensive. Art is also an important porthole to literacy skills. Representation is the first stage in writing.

I have watched my students create a variety of projects, from masks to puppets, on their own just having access to a rich variety of materials.

With the help of your donation I can keep up with my students' ever changing imagination. I can rotate materials and make every day new and exciting in the Creative Center.
