Our classroom is a special needs class and in order to better reach our students we use various art and media in our lessons. This helps our students by allowing their learning to become more hands on. Hands on learning is essential for the students in our classroom because it helps our students who struggle with fine motor skills. Construction Paper is used for almost all our projects in the classroom.
Construction Paper is essential to our classroom as we frequently use it for various lessons and crafts that help our students better visualize and understand their lessons.
For many of our students having lessons taught to them in various forms of media is much more impactful and further reaching than a traditional take on lessons. Our students all learn at different paces and in different ways however art is one way they can all learn together at the same pace.
