My Students

Each of my students comes with a unique set of baggage that may include academic deficiencies, social challenges, economic disadvantages, language acquisition and emotional struggles, but they do not let that define who they are. Everyday, they amaze me with their determination and perseverance. They are eager to learn and ready to tackle the world.

Our classroom culture is built around embracing these unique experiences.

We learn acceptance through character building, collaboration, learning to trust others, and compassion as part of our daily work.

My Project

I teach the most amazing group of first graders in the entire universe. We are very blessed to have returned to face-to-face instruction the first week of August and have been trudging along ever since. With reduced class sizes and the implementation of stagnant groups, my kiddos are unable to actually attend an art class. Therefore, it is up to me to provide them with art in the classroom.

We are in need of some basic art supplies to create the most magnificent artwork the world has ever seen.

Completing our writing with a matching piece of art is a fantastic way to solidify the learning process. Combining reading and art helps to elevate the comprehension of the story. Please help me to provide these kiddos with ability to escape into to furthest corners of their imaginations, to create works of art that are as unique and as special as they are.
