My Project

It always brings a smile to my student's faces when they are able to create something of their own! By providing them with these diverse art materials they will be given many opportunities to do just that! This project will give them the opportunity to explore weaving, crocheting, and embroidery using items like the weaving loom and yarn skeins! Something many of them may not have experienced before. They will also have the materials they need for sculpting in clay, water color painting on canvases, and working with beads. The different styles of art will help me to make sure each child finds something that they excel at and enjoy creating.

The styles of art represented in this project have been passed down for many generations from many cultures world wide!

As teachers we will be able to incorporate their art lessons into our culture and geography lessons as we learn about the continents and countries around the world. They will also develop their fine motor skills in a variety of ways by participating in different art activities.
