This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At Sunset Park High School, art is a core part of student learning. Students take 2D Art, 3D Art, Dance, Music, Craft Arts, and Media Arts throughout their years at SPHS. Art teaches necessary skills like visual perception, collaboration, and independent thinking.

Art class is the creative sanctuary for our students to bond with each other, learn about the world, and express themselves.

The materials requested here will help sustain arts education at SPHS in the face of recent budget cuts across New York City. Thank you for your support!
