This year I have taken on a new role - that of art teacher. Although I have always incorporated art into my STEAM Lab (after all, A is for Art), two days a week I now officially teach art to UTK-3rd grade.
Since this is the first year of having a "real" art class, we are in need of some supplies and one of them is a place to dry our artwork!
I have looked at art supply companies and the art drying racks for paintings and other pieces are very expensive - thousands of dollars. But I found an alternative in using a baking rack and trays. This also will serve as a drying rack for any clay work we do, as there is a lot more space in between the different levels of trays. This project requires the rack itself, and then trays to fit on the racks. The trays can double as a painting tray for students, which will make clean-up easier.
