Art Classroom Organization

My students need several basic classroom upgrades. We need a pencil sharpener, supply caddies for each table, and trays for large artwork turn-in.

My Students

A typical day in our art classroom includes students working in a variety of media independently. Students are engaged in creating pieces that are meaningful and part of their own respective artistic vision.

Our school is an urban school and typically has less funding than others in our district.

We have wonderful students although many of them would be considered 'at-risk' or from unstable environments. I am always inspired by our students' heart, perseverance, and achievement despite the adversity in their lives.

My Project

I am requesting a few upgrades that will make our classroom run more smoothly. As an underfunded school we have trouble just getting basic things such as table supply caddies (to keep organized). I am also asking for a heavy duty pencil sharpener this will greatly help as we use pencils for our artwork so often. During our pencil drawing unit this will greatly increase efficiency. Finally I am asking for 2 stack trays. My high school art students often create larger work and this will greatly help keep their work nice and neat when they turn it in. This will allow me to return their work in perfect condition so that they may have their wonderful art to take home.

This project will greatly help with classroom organization and efficiency.

This will also promote stability and organization in the lives of the students, even in a very basic way.
