This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love making art. My visual arts class is one of their favorite subjects at school. In the past, they've had the opportunity to come to my art class and work on projects together. Although we don't have adequate supplies for every child at school, we've managed to use what we have and we've enjoyed sharing supplies in the art room.

However, due to online learning and new lack-of-funding, my art budget has been cut in half.

Not only that, I've come to find that most of our students don't have any art supplies at home. Since school closure in March, we have been providing art activities that only require pencils and papers.

98% of my students came from immigrant families of hispanic heritage. Many families have been affected by the pandemic and have lost main source of income. Buying art supplies to many families is considered a luxury.

To ensure my students receive quality arts education and have the opportunity to create at home during online learning, I'd like to send home art supplies for each of my student in Kinder-8th grade. Please help me reach this goal!

My Project

Most of my students don't have any art supplies at home other than pencils and papers. Being able to send home art supplies will help engage students with their virtual arts education and help them create a safe, creative space at home to express themselves in these trying times!

My students absolutely love making art.

But they just don't have the supplies to do so. I've designed so many fun art projects to work on. All we need is enough materials for everyone! Please help me make this wish come true!
