My Students

I am a special needs art teacher. I have been working with my students online since this remote learning began. My students have multiple disabilities like autism, Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy just to name a few. They love art and are so eager to learn and to do.

The biggest challenge right now is materials, many of my students don’t have any materials except loose leaf paper and a pencil.

Some I am guessing don’t even have that. I would have liked to go back into my art classroom and bring home materials so that I can mail supplies for those in need. I am told that I am absolutely not allowed into my school building.

My Project

These materials are essential for my students to learn and grow at home. With these materials they will be able to draw and create. They will be able to do the art assignments I post. Many of them have absolutely no basic materials like drawing paper or color pencils.

Many parents are not working and cannot provide these materials for their children.

Art Supplies are costly, therefor through the generous Donors Choose donations I can provide that’s materials to them. My students are so eager to learn and draw, please help them.

Buying these supplies and mailing to students would be too costly for me as I teach the whole school. I am willing to spend for the postage if I can get the paper, markers and crayons and mailing envelopes through the generous donations of Donors Choose.

Please help my students continue experiencing art at home.
