My Project

Our students have been on their devices too long. They need art materials in order to express themselves. During the day, we try to do a least one read aloud a day. Our new plan is to let the children do art extension activities. The colored clay is an amazing way for the children to express themselves. As well, it is sensory- they get to touch something that's real (not just a computer screen).

At the deepest level, the creative process and the healing process arise from a single source; clay is truly a basic supply for the early childhood classrooms.

Art is an outlet that art engages children's senses in open-ended play and supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional and multi-sensory skills.
