Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials I am requesting are special because so many of my students enjoy to draw and create comics. As we near the end of the year my students have created a comic book club for students to join during their recess. These material are essential to get their club up and running. They will need colored pencils to color in their drawings and notepads for their comic drawings. A pencil sharpener will be a bonus. Some students who often draw also struggle with comparing fraction so providing fraction manipulatives to help with learning is essential as well.

These materials will enable students to experiment with new forms of expression, showcase their talents, and build confidence in their artistic abilities.

This project will help students connect with their creativity in ways that go beyond traditional classroom learning. For many students, art is a way to explore their emotions, make sense of the world around them, and even find a sense of belonging. With the right tools and resources, students can thrive, produce incredible artwork, and feel empowered to continue pursuing their creative passions.
