My Project

Our prekindergarten students have a museum unit within Connected 4 Learning, our selected curriculum. We study dinosuars, castles, and a variety of artists. We have many toys and books to support dinosaur and castle learning.

We could use some books about artists so that we can study them and their works.

We use watercolors, but our regular copy paper just doesn't give the true painting experience. The watercolor paper would be used to create our own water color paintings like the artists we study. Using the liquid water colors will give students a chance to play with colors through mixing paints in a palette.

Exposing prekindergarten students to museums and the art inside though books exposes them to a world beyond our classroom. Literacy through art is a meaningful and beneficial way to learn.
