Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

During the school year, the school provides time for families to come together to our classrooms for family activities. I would like to request materials that would provide our students with the opportunity to do arts and crafts with their family members during these planned times during the school year. The materials will be used to do picture frames together for Christmas, Mother's Day and Father's Day. The stickers and gems will be used to decorate the frames. The paints and acrylic markers will be used for art and crafts activities related to friendship and diversity. They will also make "All About Me" puppets using goggle eyes and the diversity materials. The kinetic sand will be used for the students who are of age three and students with sensory needs. The toys will also be used for the students who are three to play developmentally appropriate activities. All these materials will promote social-emotional development and family engagement.
