Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout the years, I have realized more and more the importance of integrating arts across the curriculum. Whether it be using art to show knowledge of mathematical vocabulary or to paint a masterpiece that supports literacy, bringing art to the classroom allows students to express their creativity all while showing knowledge of the content skills.

By bringing art into the classroom with supplies such as painting easels and canvas, we can increase understanding of other subjects, can aid in building determination and self-confidence.

Confidence comes in a variety of forms for my students and I can clearly see how building confidence through art would be beneficial to all my students, but especially those students who are timid or who have trouble academically and feel most successful during these types of opportunities.
