My Students

I am in desperate need of math games and puzzles. Imagine starting the school year and being told you will be teaching math lab on the first day back and you have no supplies to teach math lab. My kindergarten students need materials to develop skills necessary to be to be successful!

My students come from low socioeconomic families with limited resources.

Many of them have a lot of obstacles to overcome. We live in a high poverty area. Many of the students have very little social and readiness skills and get no help at home. Our school is a Title I school in Oklahoma. Most of our students are on free or reduced lunch.

My Project

This is my first time to teach kindergarten math lab so I have no games or puzzles. I am not able to order any due to budget cuts. By having these games and puzzles, they will provide students with fun and exciting ways to learn math skills. These games will be used to help with number recognition, patterns, sorting,counting and number concepts. My students will be able to work alone or in pairs while using these games and puzzles. Not only will these games help with math skills they will help my students learn readiness skills needed to help build a math foundation.
