This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students attend a Title I school in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Each morning I am greeted by a classroom full of first-graders who are eager to learn. They come from many different homes and backgrounds.
I make every effort for each student to become a part of our class family so that he/she can leave their worries at home and focus on reading, math, critical thinking, art, music, and the many other activities that occur in our classroom at school.
My Project
Our current printer in our classroom is so old that they are no longer making ink cartridges for it!
This printer and toner will provide color copies for our classroom.
From colorful game boards to anchor charts to posters, this will brighten our room. Younger students love bright colors and this ink can help you have that! We often use math games to review previously taught concepts. We also use games to review vowel sounds, rhyming words and parts of speech. Occasionally I will print little books in color and the students love these so much more than the simple black and white books.
