This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you saw a tadpole and then watched it develop into a frog? Or think back to gardening with your family the excitement of watching your plant grow. Your gift will help my students receive a garden kit, live tadpoles and food.

My students are excited about learning.

However, due to their cognitive and mental delays they often have a hard time learning to read and learning "normal" things other kids do. We are a title one school which means that we often do not have any extra resources for our poverty stricken students.

My Project

Watching tadpoles turn into frogs! Growing plants in the classroom! It is springtime in California. Due to the heavy testing demands schools have literally taken out all time for science and social studies in the classroom. By providing the requested materials my students will learn about the life cycles of plants and frogs by watching them grow and taking responsibility for their plant or animal. Your gift will help make science alive for them in a meaningful way!

Your gift will enhance my students' education by teaching them about science in a fun and meaningful way.

They will desire to write, because it will be fun to chart and note the progress that their animal or plant is making. They will learn science, math and most importantly responsibility. Thank you in advance for your time.
