My Students

How lucky am I to facilitate challenging learning opportunities for my incredible 4th and 5th graders! I'm greeted each morning by students who are eager to learn and grow as learners!

With enthusiasm and passion for technology in the classroom, my students are driven to go beyond passive use of tech devices, and jump right into active and engaging use of the tools they have!

I've witnessed my students getting out of their seats and up on their feet along with their classmates as they dig deeper into understanding new learning and communicating it in creative and meaningful ways!

My Project

Actively engaged students are children who can't wait to get to school each day and showcase their learning after diving deep into their lessons! These Apple iPads will allow my students the opportunity to work together, anywhere in the classroom or on campus, on exploring digital lesson resources and academic texts as well as sharing out their newly acquired knowledge and understanding of concepts with their classmates, peers, parents, and community!

With these iPads, my students will have access to rich educational platforms for communication including Flipgrid, Padlet, Google Suite for Education, SeeSaw, and Pear Deck!

By using these iPads, the children also learn to become socially responsible digital citizens! For them to know how to use technology safely, we need to provide children with opportunities in the safe and monitored space of their classrooms to use their voices thoughtfully and respectfully while taking those first steps in what will become their digital footprint.
