My Project

I am requesting Apple Pencils for my middle school math classroom to support students' engagement, creativity, and understanding of mathematical concepts. These tools will allow my students to interact with digital learning platforms, work collaboratively, and showcase their thinking in ways that traditional paper and pencil cannot. With these Apple Pencils, both teachers and students will use various educational apps to solve problems, visualize their ideas, and demonstrate their understanding in a format that is both engaging and easy for teachers to assess.

Math can sometimes feel abstract for middle school students.

By integrating technology into our lessons, students will have the opportunity to make their thinking visible in ways that reflect their individual problem-solving processes. The Apple Pencils will serve as a bridge between traditional pen-and-paper work and digital tools, allowing students to work on their assignments interactively, whether drawing graphs, solving equations, or annotating mathematical concepts.

Through the use of the apple pencils, I will be able to view and assess students' work through apps like Classkick, Magma Math, Notability and Desmos. This will allow students to submit digital formatives assignments and assessment where I can provide immediate feedback. The Apple Pencil will ensure that their work is neat, clear, and easy to follow, so I can provide more meaningful feedback.
