Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I have one class of eighth graders and two classes of seventh graders. I took them under my wings like a week or two after the beginning of the school year. About 25% of them have been here in the country for about three years or less. Most of them, about 98%, come from low-income homes. My students are full of energy. They are talkative, easily get distracted, but they longed for structure and effective teaching like all students do. So, I want to rise to their expectations.

This year there is a greater need for a variety of technology to serve students in a way that keeps their interest high and minds alert and engaged.

I need to hook them into learning more and more rigorous mathematical material.

It is with this awareness that I want to implement the usage of a digital whiteboard through my tablet and in conjuction with an Apple Pencil. This pen will positively impact the presentation of material to students, and definitely their level of engament and learning achievement. Concepts when presented neatly and with clarity tend to rise levels of engagement and success. In enrich their math vocabulary addition my students

My Project

Technology helps greatly in presenting neat lessons to your students. This time my goal is to use Zoom's whiteboard with my tablet in conjuction with an Apple Pencil. The Apple Pencil will allow me present information to my students that is neat.

When students see clarity and quality there is an elevation in motivation, engament and academic success.

Presently the remote teaching and learning is requiring more than ever effective teaching tools. Another great technological tool needed for vocabulary enrichment is the musical Flocabulary. Nothing better than presenting vocabulary with quality and music!
