Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class consists of English Language Learners and Native English Speakers who are very eager to learn. They come from very diverse backgrounds. The English proficiency level for my ELL students vary from Entering to Commanding.
My students are very energetic and highly motivated.
They are also caring individuals who are helpful to their peers and teachers. Many of them are determined to be successful, and if properly guided, can achieve great things in their life.
My Project
Even after a year and a half, we are still struggling with the pandemic. This upcoming school year will be the first time many of my students are returning to in-person schooling after learning from home since March of 2020. I know that parents as well as students are nervous for what may come our way and I want to try to do as much as I can to help them feel at ease.
Please help me provide desk shields, gloves and disinfectant spray for my students so I can do my part in keeping my students healthy and safe from the current situation.
The clear desk shield will help them have a barrier between themselves and their classmates and still be able to see their classmates and board. I would also like to have an antibacterial cleaner and gloves to clean desks and other things around the classroom to make it a safer environment for my students.
